And as promised, I will try to do a long blog post for July! It has indeed been a long month filled with ups and downs. The month is like really full of OG outings.
With the return of Jason, I thought that it was finally a good time to catch up. But then, he is so busy that I only managed to meet up with him like 3 times? But at least the times we met up is considered to be quality than just rotting away. We managed to try tim ho wan when Dawn and Stanley were working. The food there is not bad, but a little overpriced. The pork buns are good though! And we also managed to squeeze in an Irodori buffet which is pure awesomeness.
The increased workload as an Engin Club Finance Secretary also hit me. With camp, oweek, rag, welcome tea, flag and all the random nonsense, I find it totally suffocating me. Not to mention all the annoying events that happened due to people being careless or simply skipping chains of commands. So it has been like fire-fighting since the month started. Not only that, meetings for elections also slapped me with the realisation that the first half of the next sem is most likely going to be eaten up too.
And the engin camp comm finally met up again! We had a totally revolutionary barbeque at Samuel's house. The food prepared by the chef were totally imba. Unbeatable. You guys won't know it until you really tried it, and trust me, a picky food eater like me enjoyed it. So yeah, you can imagine. It was also a nice catch up with some people whom I haven't seen for ages, such as Ybee and the mech engin log team! And of course the random nonsense sambal kangkong is always up to. And speaking of which, sambal kangkong finally had a full attendance outing ever since Jieshen left for SEP!
Not forgetting the camps for this old man! Union Camp and Oweek dry run! Union Camp this year opened my eyes to a lot of fresh ideas! They implemented an internal OG dating game which paired the guys and girls up! This sort of helped them break the gender barrier quite effectively and not only that, it seemed to have sparked a tiny relationship. I shan't reveal too much about that here but I really do hope that they can work out! Programs wise, Union Camp sucked. But I strongly believe that the OG I was in has a lot of potential to stick together and stay together despite the past Union Camps! Even though they may have come from different faculties, I have this gut feeling that they are able to push that aside and meet up frequently! And they are really a bunch of super fun people! One of them even felt like an elder brother to me! And that is rarely felt by me because I am usually the oldest and assumed the role of the elder brother. Other that that, going into the Oweek run, I don't have much expectations to win best house. But after meeting the councillors, I felt that they are way smarter than those idiots in camp. I hope that they will pull up their socks are do well together for Ryffindor!
Okay I know it's not so long but I am going to play TF2 so bye~
