Episode 3 Recap

Previously on Survivor: Micronesia, Snakes won reward and shelter for the night. However, their triumph was short-lived when rachel's muscle cramp caused them to lose the immunity challenge. in a desperate attempt to save herself, siaun and wanjing approached felicia and jack to expand their alliance. at the same time, the guys used the same strategies on felicia and jack. being caught in the middle, felicia and jack decided to help rachel and voted out kelvin, causing him to be the 3rd castaway voted out of Survivor: Micronesia.

day 9
*after the tribal council*

yanzhi: i thought you were helping us!
siangyong: how could you go back on your word!
felicia: i never said i will vote for rachel. i only voted out who i think will threaten my chances in the game.
jack: besides, it's not our fault that kelvin angered them. Nobody asked him to vote siaun that time.
siangyong: it's over. you watch out.
jack: bring it on man.

wanjing: that was really a close one. thank goodness felicia and jack helped us.
rachel: for a moment, i thought i was a goner.
wanjing: still we shouldn't slack. you never know what's coming tomorrow.
rachel: for the time being, let's go for a swim!

siaun: so you were saying that the guys are trying to vote us out?
renhui: yes. and felicia and jack may help them anytime.
siaun: aren't you on their side too? why are you helping us?
renhui: i just want to ensure my own survival and kick those 2 out.
siaun: alright. we shall talk about it later.
renhui: (thinking to herself) if this works, they are going to be voted off one by one.

*at the Ladder's tribe*

timothy: i wonder who was voted out.
baowen: i think it might be rachel. she messed uo their chance in obtaining immunity
timothy: but i thought they might take out a guy to reduce competition.
baowen: i dont know. let's return to camp with these coconuts.

hanwei: xinfang, let's strike a deal. we help you to get into the final 3 and you help us vote out timothy and baowen. they are a powerhouse.
xinfang: i agree that they are strong but we could use them for challenges.
jezabel: if you keep them now, they may get a chance to find the idol and get us out instead.
xinfang: hmm. i will think about it.

pohchoon: let's keep this alliance tight ok?
priscilla: i saw hanwei and jezabel talking to xinfang just now. wonder what's going on.
jianhong: maybe they are trying to rope her over?
seelek: we should be wary of them. at the same time, take caution against timothy and baowen. they have proven themselves to be strong.

day 10
zhenyang: come on in guys. kelvin was voted off Snakes last night. today, you will be playing against each other for the reward. your reward is 3 egg-laying hens and a rooster!

*both tribes cheered*

zhenyang: Your task for today. Four tribe members will swim out to a floating platform and dive down to a 30-foot long steel cage submerged in the water. Retrieve ten tribe-colored coconuts with letters on them from the cage. Pushing the coconuts the length of the cage through an opening at the end, tribes must retrieve the coconuts one-by-one and place them in a wooden bin floating above the cage. After all 10 coconuts are in the bin, swim the loaded bin back to shore where the four remaining tribe members will use the letters on the coconuts to unscramble a ten-letter word. First tribe to unscramble the word wins 3 egg-laying hens and a rooster. In addition, the winning tribe will send a member from both tribes to Exile Island. Ladders, you have one extra member. One of you have to sit out.

seelek: I will.

zhenyang: Alright. Is everyone understood?

both tribes: YES!

zhenyang: GO!

Snakes took a short lead by reaching the platform first. siaun took the lead by diving into the water first. Ladders followed up shortly with timothy swimming first. timothy returns with the first coconut, siaun is taking his time in the water. wonder what he is doing. timothy scores for Ladders, 1-0.

hanwei dived as the second swimmer as siaun is still struggling in the water. it appears that he is moving several coconuts at once. hanwei resufaced with the second coconut for Ladders. 2-0. xinfang diving in to the cage. siaun coming up with Snake's first coconut! jack jumped in and obtained the second coconut from the cage entrance. Snakes closed up the lead, 2-2 now!

xinfang is struggling to get the coconut out while rachel dived for Snake's 3rd coconut and makes sqift work of it! wanjing dived in just as xinfang is returning! wanjing and xinfang scores simultaneously 4-3 with Snakes in a small lead! siaun's turn as he continue to shift the remaining 6 coconuts closer to the gate entrance while jezabel is only moving two coconuts. both of them seems to be struggling there. oh, jezabel returns with a coconut, 4-4!

siaun obtains Snake's 5th coconut. all the purple coconuts can be seen near the entrance! jack jumped into the water just as timothy is retrieving another coconut. both scores, 6-5 to Snakes! hanwei tries to move the remaining coconuts at the same time but is having difficulty! rachel enters the water and returns quickly with Snake's 7th coconut! wanjing jumps into the water while hanwei is still moving the coconuts! wanjing returns, 8-5 lead by Snakes!

hanwei resurfaced with a coconut while siaun swam again to get another coconut. Snakes is having a drastic lead! 9-6! jack and xinfang swam together to the cage. xinfang overtook jack to score. jezabel's turn to enter the water as jack scored the final coconut for Snakes! siaun, rachel and wanjing are now swimming back with the bin. jezabel got the 8th coconut!

renhui, yanzhi, siangyong and felicia took the coconuts and started to unscramble it.

siangyong: is it trumpet? nono too little words.
renhui: problematic? no there is no U.
yanzhi: triumphant? TRIUMPHANT THAT'S IT!!

zhenyang: SNAKES WIN REWARD!

*snakes members cheered wildly*

zhenyang: choose someone to send to exile island.

wanjing: we are choosing seelek.
siaun: and i will go along.

*at exile island*

seelek: argh it's the 3rd time i am here already!!!

siaun: alright. u start the fire i go get food.

*siaun rushes away from seelek*

siaun: it's crucial to find the idol. it has been either me or rachel being targetted and after the tribe switch, i don't even know if my alliance will hold. i seriously need this idol now.

seelek: does he really think i will believe he is looking for food? hope he find the idol then. i have already given up hope.

siaun: ok the clue says here. *digs into the ground* yes!! it's the idol!! ok now to get some food for seelek.

seelek: so u found the idol?
siaun: i tried but didn't. well, it was tough.
seelek: oh well, let's have a good rest before tomorrow's immunity challenge.

*back at Snakes tribe*

felicia: i think i might have angered the guys just now.
jack: better not step on anyone's toes now. we are a minority.
felicia: i should go apologise to the guys. maybe voting off siaun isn't a bad idea. he is strong.
jack: anything

*felicia and jack approach yanzhi*

felicia: i have thought about it. siaun is way too strong and could jeopardise our chances in future.
jack: ya. you have our word in voting out siaun.
yanzhi: that's good. with renhui, he have 5 votes again him. he will die.

rachel: i overheard felicia and jack making a pact with yanzhi and siangyong. they are going to vote us off one by one and they will move on to the final 4.
wanjing: oh my god. our only hope is with siaun finding the idol.
rachel: and we must win the immunity challenge at all costs. they can easily split their votes and we wont know who they vote for more.
wanjing: please let siaun find the idol.

renhui: siangyong, do you think yanzhi is trying very hard to garner our votes?
siangyong: i think everyone is the same, they just don't want to get eliminated.
renhui: i am just afraid that he might resort to underhand methods to get us out.
siangyong: let's ask the others to enjoy the egg we just prepared.

*at the Ladders tribe*

xinfang: so you guys are set on breaking the powerhouse? we could lose subsequent challenges.
hanwei: we still have other people to sacrifice. just have to withstand till the tribal merge.
jezabel: yes. and with their present in the tribal merge, they could jolly well win immunity after immunity.
xinfang: i suppose so.

timothy: i thought we really screwed up the reward challenge.
baowen: siaun really came up with a good plan now.
priscilla: ya. i thought it was really clever to sacrifice himself to help his teammates to breeze through the task.
timothy: by the way, has anyone seen xinfang?
pohchoon: she's over there with hanwei and jezabel.
jianhong: wonder what's going on?

day 11
zhenyang: welcome back castaways. firstly, let's have siaun and seelek rejoin your tribe.

*seelek and and siaun returns to respective tribe*

zhenyang: today's immunity challenge.
Using a chain of 6 keys, tribes will race to open six locks releasing a large six-point sliding hub. Each key opens a lock respectively. Harnessing yourselves into the hub, tribes will maneuver through a large obstacle course by shifting, sliding, and adjusting each other in their hub. Along the way they will collect six tribal bead necklaces. Once all six necklaces are collected, the remaining two tribe members will match up the colored beads on the necklace with the corresponding letters on a decoding wheel to spell a three-word phrase. First tribe to decipher the phrase wins Immunity. Remember, Snakes are purple and Ladders are orange. Winning tribe gains immunity from tribal council while the losing team will face off at the tribal council. Is everyone clear?

both tribes: YES! *starts cheering*

zhenyang: before we start, Ladders choose a member to sit out. As seelek sat out the previous challenge, she cannot sit out this one.

pohchoon: i will sit out.

zhenyang: alright. on my count, 3, 2, 1, GO!

yanzhi, siangyong, siaun, jack, rachel and wanjing rushed into the jungle for Snakes while hanwei, timothy, jezabel, xinfang, jianhong and baowen were competing for Ladders. Snakes took a quick lead by entering the hubs first. jack starts to open his lock. Ladders catching up with xinfang opening her lock. xinfang took the lead and she passes the keys to timothy. jack unlocks and passed to rachel. oh timothy is facing some problems. rachel overtakes and it's wanjing's turn to unlock. timothy still struggling. wanjing trying very hard. timothy drops the key! it could prove to be fatal! wanjing unlocks and passes the key to siaun. timothy messed up the order of the keys and retries every key. siaun unlocks and passes the key over to siangyong. timothy unlocks and passes the key to jezabel. Snakes pulling ahead as siangyong passes the key to yanzhi. jezabel unlocks and passes the key to hanwei. yanzhi unlocks and Snakes trying to maneuver out of the complicated jungle.

nice teamwork by Snakes as jack and siaun moves in coordination to allow the other 4 tribe mates to pass that squeezy gap. yanzhi got the first necklace for Snakes! hanwei unlocks at last and passes the key to baowen! baowen fumbles and drops the keys again, losing precious minutes. Snakes moving swiftly through the jungle with coordinated movements, collecting their second necklace by rachel and third necklace by siangyong. baowen is passes the key to jianhong first. Snakes doing very good job with siaun collecting their fourth necklace. jianhong unlocks and passes the key back to baowen. jack reaches out and managed to grab the fifth necklace with his fingers! baowen unlocks! Ladders figuring out hot to get past the narrow gap! wanjing obtained the last necklace for Snakes. now they are figuring how to get back to the mat. Ladders trying to get out with timothy's guidance but failed terribly. Snakes made it to the mat! renhui and felicia are now collecting the necklaces to decode the puzzle. Ladders got through the gap and timothy grabbed the first necklace for Ladders.

renhui and felicia starts to decode the puzzle. jezabel and xinfang each got a necklace. felicia solves the first word - tribe. renhui trying to work on the next part of the code. hanwei got the fourth neckalce for Ladders. renhui solved it getting the word stays. Ladders finished the task with jianhong and baowen getting the last 2 necklaces.

felicia and renhui: TRIBE STAYS INTACT!

zhenyang: SNAKES WIN IMMUNITY!

*Snakes members cheered wildly*

zhenyang: good job Snakes, first winning Reward and now Immunity. Have a good rest and see you for the next challenge. Ladders, see you in Tribal Council tonight.

*back at Ladders tribe*

hanwei: now's it the time to put our plan into play. who do you think? timothy or baowen?
jezabel: i would say baowen. she really messed up just now, dropping they key and the necklace.
hanwei: you have a point there. but i am afraid timothy will be strong in future.
jezabel: he won't, once his alliance collapse.
hanwei: great. i will approach the rest. you reconfirm with xinfang.
jezabel: alright.

jezabel: we are going to vote for baowen. what do you say?
xinfang: alright then. (saying to herself) "i'm sorry baowen."

hanwei: guys, jezabel and i are voting baowen. she is a strong competitor.
pohchoon: why not timothy? he's stronger i assume.
hanwei: timothy is nothing once his alliance crumble.
jianhong: good point there.
priscilla: so baowen it is.
hanwei: yes. we have 3 votes now. with the 4 of you, its 7 votes against her. she's gone.
seelek: and they do not have any immunity.
jianhong: so it's settled then.

xinfang: so who are we voting?
timothy: i am thinking seelek. she seems to be the weakest amongst us.
baowen: yes. we have lost 4 out of the 6 challenges and seelek hasn't proven to be anything useful.
xinfang: ok. you have my vote. (saying to herself again) "baowen i am really very sorry"
timothy: great. now to get pohchoon and priscilla's votes.
baowen: i will try to persuade hanwei and jezabel.
xinfang: i will help you.

timothy: pohchoon, you know about us losing so many challenges and how seelek hasn't really contributed much but wasted our 3 trips to exile island?
pohchoon: yes i can see that.
priscilla: you want us to vote for her?
timothy: yes.
pohchoon: ok, we will think about it.
timothy: thanks.

baowen: um, we are voting seelek. what about you guys?
hanwei: maybe seelek too.
jezabel: she seems very weak to me.
xinfang: that's what we thought too.
hanwei: alright then.
jezabel: seelek then.
hanwei: (whispering to xinfang) so the plan to vote baowen is still on?
*xinfang nodded*

timothy: how's your side?
baowen: they agreed abit too easily.
timothy: my side too. something's fishy.
baowen: i think we should check on them.

*timothy and baowen snuck up on pohchoon, priscilla, jianhong and seelek*

seelek: what? they asked you guys to vote for me?
jianhong: i heard from hanwei too. they approached him
pohchoon: apparently, they are feeling threatened.
priscilla: that's a good start. so we carrying on with the plan to vote baowen?
seelek, jianhong, pohchoon: YES!

baowen: huh? me?
timothy: i knew it. this is really bad.
baowen: oh no. there's not much time left.
timothy: this is turning out to be very bad.

*at the Tribal Council*

zhenyang: welcome to your second Tribal Council Ladders. how did you find the challenge back there? timothy?

timothy: it was really careless of me to drop the key. but i was really nervous back then.

zhenyang: baowen, you messed up alot just now? how come?

baowen: i think i wasn't really prepared when i grabbed the key. and the necklace just slipped out without reason.

zhenyang: do you think that is sufficent to nail you to be voted out?

baowen: i don't know why i am being targetted all of a sudden but i know that it was only a small mistake. i have definitely put in my 100% and i deserve to stay in this.

zhenyang: hanwei. do you have anything to say about the challenge?

hanwei: i think the challenge was very interesting. and by making small mistakes, it is enough to cause us to lose and that gives us every reason to vote someone.

baowen: compare seelek to me then. she have not contributed much also. why not her?

timothy: we can all see seelek going to exile island and returning empty-handed for 3 times in a row.

seelek: it wasn't that easy you know? why don't you try going there for yourself?

zhenyang: alright. priscilla, what do you have to say?

priscilla: i will vote anyone. as long as it doesn't jeopardise my position. if a strong player is allowed to stay till the end, i might go home.

zhenyang: jianhong, you have anything to say about that?

jianhong: after a few tasks, it's pretty obvious who are stronger and who aren't. and i think we should kick some of them out so that they would not dominate in the future challenges.

baowen: i would say that i am seen as stronger simply because others just dont do anything. naturally i would outshine them.

priscilla: and if you are seen as a strong player, then too bad.

timothy: i think it's quite unfair to deprive a deserving player of his or her chance in the game. because i know that at this point, eliminating a strong player will just cause us to lose challenges in the future.

baowen: it is because of these people who dont do anything that we have to cover up what they didn't do. that's how we win.

pohchoon: we can also win without some "professional help" given by self-proclaimed strong players.

zhenyang: alright, this is getting nowhere. it's time to vote. hanwei, you are up.

*hanwei voted*
*jianhong voted*
*priscilla voted*
*timothy voted*
*jezabel voted*
*pohchoon voted*
*baowen voted*
*seelek voted*
*xinfang voted*

zhenyang: i shall now tally the votes. if anyone has the hidden immunity idol, it's time to play it.

*remaining 8 castaways turn to look at seelek*

zhenyang: after i tally the votes, person with the most vote will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately.

first vote, baowen

second vote, baowen

2 votes baowen

third vote, baowen

3 votes baowen

fourth vote, seelek

3 votes baowen, 1 vote seelek

fifth vote, baowen

4 votes baowen, 1 vote seelek

sixth vote, seelek

4 votes baowen, 2 votes seelek

*opens seventh vote*

4th person voted our Survivor: Micronesia, baowen.

zhenyang: baowen, bring you torch here. your tribe has spoken. you are the fourth person voted off Survivor: Micronesia.

*puts out baowen's torch*

baowen: bye guys.

zhenyang: there's going to be an exciting activity tomorrow. head back to camp and rest well.

baowen: i thought being one of the better players will earn me a guranteed spot in the finals. but it just made me look like a threat to others. i am just with a bunch of scaredy-cats who only care about their survival in the game. i can't wait to see how badly they will screw up with all the weaklings remaining.

Tribal Council 4 results:
baowen - seelek
hanwei - baowen
jezabel - baowen
jianhong - baowen
pohchoon - baowen
priscilla - baowen
seelek - baowen
timothy - seelek
xinfang - baowen

Got back bio paper 2, in other words getting back the whole bio paper. It was done better than expected but not on my target, which was a C. i blame myself for not working hard enough, and not spending enough effort to remember all those horrible cycles and components and processes and what nots. It was a D, 50%. Was expecting a fail though, but seeing that i improved from mid-years, it means that my study technique should be correct. i suppose. maths and econs left. hope for the worst. *crosses fingers*

The Amazing Race Asia 3 (Hue, Vietnam)

It started with a 25 hr bus ride. I think it is sufficent to kill anyone. Teams will have to change tyres for a jeep. And collect coins and arrange them in some rubbish order under the horrendous sun. And make josssticks or harvest rice. Omg the leg is like long and totally tedious. Natalie is like SUPER WHINY. OMG CAN SOMEONE JUST SHUT HER UP?!?! Thank goodness she is GONE, no more whining yay~ Geoff was abit attitude to the other teams but in the end, he had a minor breakdown. It shows that there is still some human left in him. A dominating teams is appearing. Hope they will lie low and let others have the top. A.D. and Fuzzie did good this leg! But not as good as the previous one maybe bcz of more physical tasks. SINGAPORE TEAM FOR THE WIN!

Leaderboard:
1st - Henry and Bernie
2nd - Vince and Sam
3rd - Ida and Tania
4th - A.D. and Fuzzie

Episode 2 Recap

Previously on Survivor: Micronesia, the 2 tribes fight for reward and immunity. Snakes managed to fix the puzzle first winning them the immunity and fishing equipment. A futile trip to exile island sent seelek and renhui back to their tribes tired. Ladders first decided on voting hanwei but after timothy stumbled upon jingren's plan, they turned to vote seelek. matters complicated when jianhong switched sides and sacrificed his individual immunity to save seelek. in the end, the 7-man alliance's decision to split votes saved timothy as karma bites back hard, causing jingren to be the 2nd castaway voted out of Survivor: Micronesia.

day 6
*after the tribal council*
timothy: that was a close one. never thought jianhong would switch sides.
baowen: luckily we split the votes.
jianhong: hey. sorry about the last tribal council.
xinfang: it's too late. what's done cannot be undone.
timothy: just watch your back.

seelek: what happened back there?
jianhong: they seemed angry with me. that's natural. didn't thought they would split their votes. i was only told they are voting you.
seelek: that was really unfortunate.
jianhong: we have to be careful now. there is a large target on our backs.

hanwei: thank goodness i was spared.
jezabel: next time be less bossy and i suppose things will be fine.
hanwei: fine fine..
priscilla: let's get back and rest. it's been a tiring day.
pohchoon: true. we need all we got to win the reward challenge.

*back at SNAKES tribe*

siaun: i think i may be their target next.
wanjing: yes. i think we should rope in more people into our alliance.
rachel: but aren't felicia and jack on our side?
siaun: they seem very neutral to me.
rachel: maybe we should get their help.
wanjing: work hard to win the immunity challenge.

kelvin: i wonder if they already knew i voted them.
yanzhi: i dont think so. they dont look very bright to me.
siangyong: maybe we should have voted him earlier.
kelvin: that would strike a tie. and siying will also lose in the end.
siangyong: true. hmmm.

felicia: i seriously dont know who to help. ever since the last tribal council, everyone seems to be split into 3 alliances.
jack: yes and apparently we are sandwiched in the middle.
renhui: i think the guys are more trustworthy than the girls. after all, they can help us win more challenges in future.
jack: you've got a point there.
felicia: let's see after the challenge.

day 7
Both tribes received treemail consisting of a Survivor Comfort Catalogue and war paint. There is going to be an aggresive meeting and you are to choose 3 items which you will acquire after winning the Reward challenge.

Both tribes discussed over what they would like. Then, each member applied war paint on their faces.

zhenyang: Welcome to the Reward Challenge. Last night, jingren was voted off Ladders. And today, it's going to be a battle. Both tribes start at opposite sides of a watery playing field in your opponent's end zone. When i say GO, both tribes will charge across the lagoon to your own end zone on the opposite side, carrying three heavy canvas bags. The tribe's goal is to get your three bags, plus two bags from the enemy tribe, into your respective end zones. To make things interesting, tribes can steal bags from your opponent's end zones even after the opponent has scored. The first tribe to get any five bags in your end zone at once wins Reward.

zhenyang: Snakes will be playing for a shelter kit, a lighting kit and a survival kit. Ladders will be playing for fishing kit, shelter kit and a kitchen set.

*both tribes cheered loudly*

zhenyang: GO!

The 18 remaining castaways dashed across the lagoon, colliding onto each other. Taking advantage of the confusion, rachel managed to snatch a bag from Ladders bringing up their lead to 3-1. however, the lead dissipated when pohchoon dragged felicia, along with her bag into his end and timothy using brute force to fling wanjing into his end, neutralising the game at 3-3.

seelek managed to duck through the number of people and stole a bag. however she was stopped by renhui. during their struggle, jezabel grabbed the bag and brought back to Ladder's end, leading 2-4. at the moment, siaun successfully shook off jianhong scoring for Snakes. as priscilla is making a dash for Ladder's final score, she was stopped by siangyong, who tries to snatch the bag back.

as all the Ladder's members focussed on getting their last score, yanzhi and jack snuck over to Ladder's end and stole 2 bags and made a dash for their end. yanzhi made it bringing the score up to 3-2. jack, however, was stopped by hanwei as he started to fight for the bag. at the other end, rachel snagged another bag and brought back to Snakes opening up the lead to 4-2. priscilla brought in a bag for Ladder's, closing up the lead to 4-3. yanzhi then decided to tackle hanwei, opening up the road for jack. jack scores! SNAKES WIN REWARD!

*snakes members cheering wildly*

zhenyang: Snakes, please send a member from Ladders to go to Exile Island.

*discussing*

yanzhi: we are sending seelek again.
rachel: and i will go along.

*on Exile Island*

seelek and rachel arrived on the island. seelek is reluctant to walk all over the island for a second time and trudged along behind rachel as rachel unravelled clues.

seelek: this is useless. renhui and i got stuck on the fourth clue and it wasn't easy.
rachel: but we are only on the second one now!
seelek: alright. i am just exhausted after all the running just now.
rachel: just trail behind. i don't need you.

*back at Ladders tribe*

timothy: i still dont get why we lost. aren't we leading?
xinfang: we were, until jack and yanzhi stole the bags.
baowen: i thought jianhong were guarding them?
hanwei: he ran out to help me fend off siaun.
jezabel: this is just unlucky. looks like a storm is coming. we are going to freeze.
baowen: ahhhh!! our shelter is going to be destroyed!!
xinfang: let's find the rest and seek shelter.

jianhong: i really dont know what happened just now. all of a sudden our bags just depleted.
pohchoon: most of the time i was blocking the girls from entering their base.
priscilla: i didn't expect a task to be that physical.
jianhong: wonder how seelek is doing. hope she finds the idol this time.
pohchoon: a storm is approaching. those other people must be gloating at us.
priscilla: ok look. the rest are here.
timothy: let's find a shelter together.
jianhong: alright.

*at the Snakes tribe*

siaun: yes!! we won the reward. now we wont have to be scared of the storm that's imminent!!
wanjing: we still have to worry about the guy who backstabbed you.
felicia: i heard from renhui it was kelvin.
siaun: what? i thought he is on our side!!
jack: apparently not. those 3 guys dont seem to be involving us in their activities.
wanjing: we have to be wary of kelvin.

kelvin: hey renhui come join us.
renhui: yup?
siangyong: we are just going to rope you in for our alliance. we are going to vote one of the five. to break their alliance.
renhui: but jack and felicia aren't in alliance with them.
yanzhi: you never know.
kelvin: oh look they are setting up the shelter. i guess we should help.

*soon the Snakes tribe snuggled cozily under their newly-won tarp while the Ladders tribe shivered under the storm*

*at Exile Island*

seelek: are you done yet? you won't find it.
rachel: i will find it. now will you stop it?
seelek: i will when you agree to stop finding and rest together.

*dark clouds looming in*

rachel: ok fine. darn weather. let's find a shelter.
seelek: yay!!

Day 8
zhenyang: Welcome back. seelek and rachel, please rejoin your tribe. Today, you will be fighting for tribal immunity. Here are the rules.
Each tribe will choose two men and two women to hold a rope tethered to a giant hanging net basket. Members of the opposing tribe will attempt to shoot coconuts into the net. The more coconuts a tribe successfully throws into the other tribe's net, the heavier that net becomes. The tribe that holds their net up the longest wins Immunity and is safe from Tribal Council.
Please choose the members holding the net.

rachel, renhui, siaun and siangyong hold the net for Snakes while priscilla, jezabel, pohchoon and timothy hold the net for Ladders.

zhenyang: GO!

other tribe members started to shoot coconuts into their opponent nets. Snakes took a quick lead as wanjing and yanzhi managed to shoot in consecutively. on the other side, Ladders closed up the lead as baowen and hanwei shot many coconuts in. Snakes continued their onslaught as felicia and jack shot more coconuts in. jianhong missed a precious shot into the net.

at the same time, the Ladder's net is getting filled up very quickly. Snake's net is almost as fully filled as Ladder's net. seelek managed a lucky shot into Snake's net. at that instant, rachel lost grip as she felt the rope slide through her fingers. that fatal mistake proved to be uncorrectable as the other 3 members gave way to the enormous weight. LADDERS WIN IMMUNITY!

*ladders members cheering happily*

zhenyang: Head back to camp. Snakes, see you at tribal council tonight.

*back at Snakes camp*

siaun: not again. i got a bad feeling about this.
wanjing: you think they may vote against you?
siaun: yes. rachel you found the idol?
rachel: no. that seelek kept hindering me with her fatigue.
siaun: this is bad. let's approach felicia and jack.

kelvin: you saw what happened just now right?
yanzhi: yes. rachel released the rope first.
siangyong: if anyone has to go, it shall be her.
renhui: i suppose i will vote her too.

felicia: you want us to help you guys?
jack: and vote out kelvin?
siaun: yes. he backstabbed us last tribal council by voting me. and he might strike anyone this time.

renhui: but what if she has the idol?
yanzhi: oh ya. crap who allowed her to go to exile island?
siangyong: renhui, go try and check if she has it.

wanjing: what happened actually just now?
rachel: i dont know. when the coconut fell into the net, my muscle cramped and the net just slipped out of my hand.
wanjing: oh my. you think the guys may vote you?
rachel: gosh that's a possibility.

felicia: you mean rachel didn't find the idol?
siaun: yes. she couldn't find it.
jack: but it's her fault that she dropped the net right?
siaun: true but i am sure it wasn't intentional.
felicia: of course it wasn't intentional. it was accidental with an intent.
siaun: no.
jack: we shall see who to vote.

renhui: hi gals. rachel, how's exile island?
rachel: horrible. seelek kept hindering me saying how tired she was.
renhui: it was tough. so you didnt find it?
rachel: ya.
renhui: alright. who are you voting for tribal council tonight?
wanjing: most probably kelvin. he tried to backstab us.
renhui: you dont say. it's really him?
rachel: that's what felicia says though.
renhui: rest well then. see you tonight.
*renhui walks off*
rachel: that was weird.

yanzhi: jack. can you and felicia help us vote rachel?
jack: i was just thinking of that issue.
siangyong: after all she dropped the net.
felicia: ya we know.
*renhui walks back*
renhui: tested her out. no idol. oh hi, people.
kelvin: yes, we are going to break their foothold here.
jack: we shall see about it.
felicia: i think i will think about it after some time to myself.
*jack and felicia walks off*
kelvin: you think they will help us?
yanzhi: from the looks of it.. they will.
renhui: good! let's revenge siying.

rachel: just now renhui was acting weirdly.
siaun: really? who she's with anyways.
wanjing: dont know. shouldn't it be felicia and jack?
*felicia and jack walks in*
felicia: did renhui ask you about the idol?
rachel: yes. why?
jack: she's a spy for the guys.
rachel: knew it! that's bad.
siaun: so who are you voting?
felicia: haven't decided yet.
jack: you will know at tonight's tribal council.

*at the Tribal Council*

zhenyang: welcome back Snakes, to your second tribal council. how much have your tribe changed? jack, your views please.

jack: it has been split into 3 main alliance since day one. and i can feel that the alliance will stay.

zhenyang: what are you going to do about it?

jack: i think i will just play the better of both sides to ensure my safety.

zhenyang: how about you felicia?

felicia: this time i felt like being pulled to both sides. i really dont know who to help.

zhenyang: i see. siaun, you managed to survive the last tribal council. what do you think might be today's result?

siaun: i really dont know. but i can say that i have really played my part, and if i am really voted out then it's really a loss to the tribe.

zhenyang: rachel, you have been performing quite well until the immunity challenge where you screwed up your first challenge. what happened?

rachel: i think i didn't stretch properly. my muscle sort of cramped and lost grip of the rope.

zhenyang: i see. yanzhi, what do you think of rachel's performance?

yanzhi: i think that she really lost it today. like siying last time, you have to pay if you make a mistake.

zhenyang: is that how you think? how about you kelvin?

kelvin: to survive in this game, you just have to be careful and not made any mistakes. siying was a very good example. so i think she should pay for releasing the rope.

zhenyang: alright. it's about time there. siaun, you are up.

*siaun voted*
*felicia voted*
*yanzhi voted*
*kelvin voted*
*rachel voted*
*jack voted*
*siangyong voted*
*wanjing voted*
*renhui voted*

zhenyang: Alright, the votes are in. After i tally the votes, person with the most vote will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately.

2 votes rachel

third vote, kelvin

3rd person voted off Survivor: Micronesia, kelvin.

zhenyang: kelvin, the tribe has spoken. you are the third person voted off Survivor: Micronesia.

*puts out kelvin's torch*

zhenyang: head back to camp. you have a long day awaiting you tomorrow.

kelvin: i played my best. i just didnt think that i was being targetted. i would say it sucks to be eliminated from such a great game.

kelvin - rachel
rachel - kelvin
renhui - rachel

yes, i am back to complain how unproductive my day was (as usual)... but somehow i can't chg.. maybe bcz that's the way i am. :)

so anyway, reached home at 1.40pm, which is considered relatively early.. watched recorded shows until like 5pm.. slept till 7pm.. ate till 7.30pm.. mapled till 11pm.. and started to stare at my blog and decided to update..

ok. unproductivity for today is rated 4 out of 5 stars.. sleeping is productive as it allows our body to replenish the energy used up in the day.

so anyway, timo, rachel, wanjing and i were quite high during gp and totally ignored what nick thorne was talking abt. kept laughing while rachel acted her american accent. ok. the timo kept trying to shoot rachel with the rubber band and when rachel tries to shoot back, she hit her own finger -.- ya that's our gp lesson for you.

i was very happy that ms ma gave me that mark in paper 3!! boosting my marks by 0.6%!! ok lame -.- but on paper, its one more mark. so chem marks is settled. 63%, B. met my target but not my mum's nor ms ma's. haiz.. looks like i have to work alot harder!!

tmr's going to study with zy.. fri maybe studying with zy also.. sat relaxing with maple.. sun going to buy new wallet then study with zw.. hope the plan follows on smoothly.. this transition state is vital for me to enter the mugging mood. there is the partial breaking of the yx-mapling bond and the partial forming of the yx-mugging bond. ok lame -.-

today was rather unproductive. didnt go to sch bcz i had to go for a checkup at TTSH. so i slept super soundly until my mum kicked me up at 9.30am. she literally kicked me that i almost fell off my bed. so i unwillingly dragged myself to bathe and wash up.

so we left for TTSH. i went to checkup alone while they went to do some work. they were quite efficient. everything ended in abt 20 min. they doctor sliced opened the wound to check if it is rotting inside. ok jkjk. :x they doctor pressed the wound and said good you are recovering. dont have to come back again. and i had to pay $27 for these 2 lines of words -.- totally extortion. but on the bright side, i am ok alrd! yay!

then my parents brought me all arnd sg for them to get their clients to sign some documents. totally rotting in the car. from 11-1.30 ok. really bored to death. and revived and died again. but there was a house in clifton vale which was dam nice. bungalow somemore. those who come my house b4 imagine my house x12. get it? it's like holy shit. next time must buy and stay with my family. muahaha.

then reached home 1st thing on com. but not to play. on the music, logged into maple and started doing chem. i managed to clear the 4 paper 3 qn after 2 hrs and played abt 1hr plus. and started blogging abt it. ok la today is productive to a certain extent.

had a weird dream last night though. went to school in the dream but the campus is like montfort. but the ppl inside is aj de -.- haiz i must be missing my primary sch too much. how i wish we could meet up sometime. darren, daryl, daniel, zhen jie, xuan han, johnathan, nigel, cepheus, jian shun, gavin, shi hao, wallace, shi liang... my memory is failing...

today was a long day. a DAMN long day.

sports day was fun. alot of volleyball and abit of basketball. make me feel super sporty. haha. too long nvr get in touch with these games le. ya it was nice. i suppose.

the econs focus lecture was TORTURE. hci prelims qns were tough. njc prelims qns were tricky. ijc prelims qns were like wth. copied 11 pages of notes but wonder how much of it gets digested. hmmm.

dinner with baowen and sarah was like a small chit chat session. got to know them btr and how baowen had bad experiences with neighbours. unlike mine, who coincidentally happens to be nat tan of the project superstar. ok i am being shameless again. anyway, i was saying, ahh whatever.

wee!! i am so excited. amazing race 13 starting in less than a week ^^

Yi Xuan, you are still not performing up to standard! You can definitely do better!
this appeared on one of my scripts for prelims and i have been hearing it since i started secondary school. is gaming that bad? to such an extent that others condemn ppl who game alot? is there a place in society for gamers? think about it.

I LOVED THE ROADBLOCK! lol. run past the paintball snipers. so exciting. the detour were both crazy!!! row sampam full of fruits and vegetables or carry chickens and walk like super far. which will u go for? haha. but quite expected elimination. the 3 teams were like a few hours behind the others. AND SINGAPORE MANAGED TO CLINCH 2ND THIS LEG! WOOOO!! amazing huh. those 2 are really underdogs hope they will go far. sad that william and isaac got eliminated. 2 all male teams left. was hoping pailin and natalie though. =/ but overall the team's abilities are quite evenly spread out. Episode 1 Recap

Previously on Survivor: Micronesia, 20 castaways are brought to an island whereby they were split into 2 tribes. During the individual immunity challenge, felicia and jianhong obtained immunity for themselves. During the tribal immunity challenge, siying faltered badly which allowed the Ladders tribe to win immunity. As a result, the remaining Snakes members voted for her elimination, making siying the 1st castaway voted out of Survivor: Micronesia.

day 4
*after the tribal council*
wanjing: i wonder who voted for siaun.
rachel: 1 vote could be from siying. What about the other?
wanjing: we have to watch out. there may be backstabbers around us.

jack: that wasn't a nice experience. my heart was thumping super fast.
felicia: even with the immunity, i could feel the tense situation in there.
siaun: for a moment, i thought i was a goner.
felicia: with the 5 of our votes, your should be safe.
siaun: true, wonder how did the remaining votes go. maybe more than 2 voted for me.
jack: just win the immunity challenge and we are good.

yanzhi: you really voted siaun?
kelvin: ya. but still it wasn't enough.
yanzhi: there are 5 of them. we might be in danger.
siangyong: we must try to split up their votes.

renhui: *sobbing* this is bad. siying was my only friend here currently.
*felicia walks over*
felicia: hi! are you ok?
renhui: yes, just sad that siying was eliminated.
felicia: well, it was somehow expected. wanna join us to collect food?
renhui: sure.

*meanwhile, the Ladders tribe celebrate their victory*

hanwei: great job guys!
timothy: and gals!
everyone: *laughing*
timothy: let's try to start a fire.
jingren: here let me try.
jianhong: i can help.

*soon the Ladders tribe got their fire*

jezabel: that was really good teamwork back there. we were like constantly pushing each other forward.
priscilla: yes. i think if we keep this up, we will win and win and win and win.

jingren: seelek, wanna go catch some fishes to cook?
seelek: ok. let me go get something to store the fishes.
*jingren and seelek went off to catch fishes*

timothy: do you think that jingren is up to no good? he seems to be too overfriendly with everyone.
baowen: maybe he is plotting something against us.
xinfang: i dont think i trust him.
jianhong: you guys are thinking too much.
timothy: really? we shall see about that.

*jingren and seelek returns with the fishes*

hanwei: this is bad. the flint is wearing down.
jingren: quick! cook the fishes before the fire is gone.
pohchoon: i will find something to slow down the burning.
priscilla: i can help with the cooking.
seelek: that would be great.

*soon the flint is gone and half the fishes are not cooked*

hanwei: i want the cooked fish!
xinfang: can't you give in to the girls?
hanwei: no way. work for your own fishes.
baowen: totally ungentleman please.
jianhong: ok chill. let's all enjoy the food k?
jingren: *whispering to seelek* let's vote out hanwei. i can't stand him. i have jianhong's support.
seelek: *whispering back* how?
jingren: *still whispering* lose the task on purpose?

xinfang: grrr. i can't stand that guy. hope he gets booted.
baowen: yes. i am aiming him.
jianhong: i think he is just being himself. he is quite good at tasks.

*after the meal, Ladders went to sleep*

day 5
*both tribes made their way to the challenge*

zhenyang: welcome back. last night, siying was voted out of Snakes. and today, you will be competing for fishing gear, a bamboo fishing boat and Immunity. Each tribe will select five swimmers, three puzzle-makers, and one key-master. First, the swimmers will race out, one-by-one, to a floating tower, climb to the top, and jump off while smashing a suspended tile, releasing a key into the water below. The swimmer must dive down, retrieve the key, and bring it back to shore. Once all five keys are collected, the key-master will open a series of locks on a chest containing puzzle-pieces. The puzzle-makers will use the puzzle-pieces to assemble a map of Micronesia. The first tribe to solve the puzzle wins Immunity and is safe from Tribal Council. The winning tribe will also select one person from the losing tribe to go to Exile Island, where he or she will have the chance to discover a Hidden Immunity Idol. Does everyone understand the rules?

everyone: yes.

zhenyang: alright, on your marks, get set, GO!

siaun and jingren each dived into the water. siaun took a quick lead as he climbed up the tower first. jingren was trailing slightly behind as siaun returns with the first key. rachel sets out for SNAKES as jingren returns with LADDERS' first key. xinfang was the second swimmer for LADDERS. rachel makes quick work by pulling ahead of xinfang by alot.

soon, jack started his swim for the third key when xinfang returned with the second key. hanwei set out minutes behind jack. things became worse when hanwei stumbled when he lost sight of the key. jack returned with the third key and renhui started to swim for SNAKES' fourth key. soon, hanwei is forced to return without his key and jezabel started her swim. renhui swift motions in the water opened up her lead on jezabel.

siangyong started to swim for SNAKES' final key while jezabel is struggling to find hanwei's key. soon, siangyong returned with the last key while jezabel returned with LADDERS' third and fourth key. jianhong immediately swam ahead to close up the gap while SNAKES' key-master, yanzhi, unlocked the chest. felicia, kelvin and wanjing started to piece up the map of Micronesia while baowen tried to unlock the chestfor LADDERS. SNAKES WIN REWARD AND IMMUNITY!

*snakes members cheering wildly*

zhenyang: now, please select one member of the opposing tribe to go to exile island.

*discussing*

siaun: we will be sending seelek.
zhenyang: ok seelek please step out. now here is the first twist, you have to send one member to exile island to hunt for the same immunity idol.

*discussing*

renhui: i will go.

*on exile island*

both seelek and renhui started to follow their first clue and worked on to find the immunity idol. seelek took the lead, desperate to find the immunity idol. soon, they were follow the trail of clues, climbing to the tops of hills, under tree roots and crisscrossing back and forth through the water to the small islands peppered around the exile camp. despite finding 4 clues, both members return to camp empty handed as the day turns into night.

LADDERS:

jingren: i think we should vote out hanwei. didn't you see how he screwed up the challenge? and i think we all can't stand him.
baowen: yes. i hate him. totally.
xinfang: no doubt i am voting him.
timothy: i'll go with that.
jianhong: i guess it's settled then.

*jingren approached the rest*

jingren: hey, i think we should vote hanwei.
pohchoon: i think so too.
priscilla: could it be he was off-form today? we was good at the previous task.
jezabel: *remained quiet*

*seelek returned from exile island*

jingren: our plan is working. they are voting hanwei.
seelek: great.

*timothy overheard and rushed off to tell baowen, xinfang and jianhong what he heard*

jingren: so did you find the idol?
seelek: nope. neither did renhui. it was tough. really tough.

timothy: i overheard jingren and seelek. apparently they are in a plan against us.
baowen: serious?
xinfang: this is bad. change of plan, vote him out!
jianhong: that's sounds ok with me.

*jianhong sneaks off to warn jingren and seelek*
jianhong: timothy overheard you guys and are planning to vote you seelek. do you have the idol?
seelek: oh no. i don't.
jianhong: ok use my immunity then we vote out timothy.
jingren: ok great.

jezabel: hanwei, you are in trouble.
hanwei: i knew it. damn the challenge.
jezabel: let's try to convince them to change target.

*timothy, xinfang, baowen, pohchoon, priscilla, hanwei and jezabel met up*
timothy: ok, jingren and seelek is planning to get rid of us. let's vote for seelek. to weaken his force.
hanwei: this is a total blessing
pohchoon: wait, seelek might have found the immunity idol.
priscilla: let's split the votes. split equally among jingren and seelek.
timothy: ok. where is jianhong?

*jianhong rejoins timothy*
jianhong: what's the commotion?
timothy: we are voting seelek. making them weaker
jianhong: cool.

jianhong: they are still voting you seelek.
jingren: i have asked priscilla and pohchoon to vote for timothy earlier.
seelek: that gives us 5 votes. ok we are safe.

day 6
*at the Tribal Council*

zhenyang: welcome to the Tribal Council. before you vote, i want to know, how do you find your tribe, hanwei?

hanwei: i loved my tribe. they worked hard for the tasks and everyone of the deserved to be here.

zhenyang: i see. what do you think they have done well?

hanwei: they worked hard together, and you know it's important to keep this momentum going as a team.

zhenyang: pohchoon, how do you find the game so far?

pohchoon: it's alot of backstabbing by everyone and you don't know who done it. sometimes. you are torn between 2 parties.

zhenyang: how about you seelek?

seelek: i think it's all about garnering trust and support. if not, you have no chance at all.

zhenyang: i see. guys, how do you find the challenge? jingren.

jingren: it's very tedious especially to find the key in the water.

zhenyang: how about you baowen?

baowen: the locks were confusing but i think i could have done better.

zhenyang: alright. it's time to cast your vote. seelek, you are up

*seelek voted*
*priscilla voted*
*hanwei voted*
*xinfang voted*
*jianhong voted*
*timothy voted*
*pohchoon voted*

*jezabel voted*

zhenyang: The votes are in. Let me tally the votes. Once i call your name, bring your torch here and leave this place immediately. Any thing before that?

*jingren, seelek and jianhong appeared shocked as jingren walks forward*

zhenyang: The tribe has spoken. jingren, you are the second person voted off Survivor: Micronesia.

*puts out jingren's torch*

jingren: i really didn't expect that. looks like it's the end of the road for me. karma bites back hard man. don't be evil next time.

it's going to be a rather sad post so i shall use a rather sad colour.

finally 1 week of exams have passed. endured thru all the shit those crazily insane teachers threw at us. left chem p1 and p2 which i have to get full marks to cover up the holes from p3. how sad.

monday: chem paper 3 + bio paper 3
total disaster. cant believe they tested on thalassaemia and 7 marks somemore. so coincidental. ms ma said the qn 4 org chem deduction qn.. avg is 1.5/10. holy shit.

tuesday: maths paper 1
another disaster please. nvr bring compass end up bringing in 10c, 20c, 50c and $1 coins for loci but ended up nvr use. i didnt finish + alot of blanks.

wednesday: econs paper 1
totally dont understand the case studies. who cares about Europe airlines and Japan's economy la.

friday: maths paper 2 + bio paper 1 + bio paper 2
a horrible day. ended at 5.55pm. how good can it be. thalassaemia came out as 1 mcq again lol. didnt finish maths.

totally depressed now. hope chem will be much much btr.

on a happier note, really looking forward to sentosa on monday and probably kbox on tuesday. wahaha

The Amazing Race Asia 3 Leg 1 (Chiang Mai, Thailand)

Well, it was an interesting season with interesting teams. The tasks were either disgusting or tiring. Singapore team wont last long this season. Look at their physique and how they do the tasks. -.- Rooting for Geoff and Tisha this season. Interestingly, the Indians came in 9th and 10th. But they were quite unlucky getting lost almost the whole time. Last but not least, it's nice to see all-male teams coming in at the bottom. NO MORE MARC AND ROVILSON PLEASE!

a few months back, my bro is tested positive to be a thalassaemia minor (a.k.a. carrier) thalassaemia is a disease whereby your red blood cells will be smaller than usual and will carry less oxygen. coincidentally it is a GENETIC disorder. recently my paternal grandfather is also tested positive to be a thalassaemia minor. see the link. so today dad, mum, sis and i went to kk hospital for a blood test. the nurse had to draw 2 freaking test tubes of blood. anyway she started explaining what thalassaemia is and how it affects us. apparently only 3% of the world is affected with it. wow. how lucky -.- there is 2 kinds, alpha and beta and both yixin and grandfather has alpha (which is more serious) then she talked abt the symptoms which includes slight giddiness when you stand up after sitting for too long (omg shit) and loss of breath easily (die die). which are both present in me. most prob i will be a minor too bcz alpha major patients will die stillbirth. then there are pics of major babies which looks quite gross. apparently obvious veins is also a symptom (see my hands!!!!) my bro's temples and my sis's wrists and cheeks also have the veins. looks like 3 of us tio minor liao. but it wont affect our lives much just that we have to be careful not to pass down to our offspring. so ppl that i marry should preferably not be a minor. or u can do the genetic cross to see the percentage of our offspring having thalassaemia.

what's wrong with me.. sinus.. appendicitis.. now thalassaemia.. what's next? breast cancer?

maybe it's just me. sometimes i just get the feeling that i dont belong anywhere. like last thurs.. last fri.. events will date all the way back to sec 1 if i continue digging. i think i am just too sensitive.. i know i shouldn't be blogging this as people will get offended but i also need to vent what's trapped within me out. if not my head will just inflate like a balloon and go boom. sometimes a friend is really welcomed to hear all my rantings but will he/she still be there after listening to the same old stories i have? sometimes, Man is just selfish. they care about their own good at the expanse of others. they say Man have to live tgt in a community bcz they hate loneliness. but when living tgt do they care abt others? i doubt it. perhaps it would be appropriate for me to leave wherever i am not welcomed. if not for aquila crazy prices, i would be there alrd. if not for my deep hatred for loneliness i wont be with u guys. ironic huh. life is confusing.
