Sorry I don't mean to be racist in any of my comments.
Firstly, there was this wet soil barbarian who boarded bus 25 one stop after me. Yes, the bus, as usual, was super crowded. It's so crowded to the extent that I am standing on the door platform. Then, that particular man boarded the bus behind me, with his handphone in his hand. His phone was blast LOUD muddy music which was super duper irritating. Not only that, it was obvious that there was no space already and he was pushing my ass into the bus. I was super tempted to shout at him to get off the bus. Luckily, the lady in front of moved in and I squirmed all the way to the back of the bus. My god, I think I haven't seen a more inconsiderate passenger than him.
Then, on my way to camp in the MRT, this 50+ year old lady came and sat next to me. I was falling asleep and she started asking me about army in Hokkien. Not wanting to be rude, I replied her politely in Chinese and tilted my head towards the train carriage, signalling that I want to sleep. Then she continued to ask a whole lot of questions, some of which I can't really understand due to my poor mastery of Hokkien. It's not I want to be rude, but can't she sense that other people may not be as energetic as her early in the morning? In the end, I chatted with her until Admiralty when I can finally sleep in peace for 15 minutes.
Lastly, on my way back from camp in the MRT again, there was this couple from the country which starts with J and ends with N standing approximately 2 meters to my left. I was standing in the middle of the 2 doors. At Admiralty station (Yes, it's Admiralty station again), the guy in front of me stood up and there was a seat available. So this middle aged lady standing on my right wants to take a seat. But when the lady of the couple saw the seat, she tugged her husband over towards me, like there was 1 million bucks on the seat. Then, her husband tripped over the man standing to my right and the train was rather crowded. At that instant, there was a silence in the train and everyone turned to stare at the lady who was still tugging her husband. In the end, she got the seat and had a very smug look on her face. Doesn't she has any shame?
Yup, that's about what I observed about people around me. I wanted to talk about the 2 IJC girls I encountered yesterday but they turned out quite nice so decided not to.
And I think I would like to reply to Priscilla's blog post about Survivor, something we loved from the bottom from our hearts.
And I find it amusing that people can judge others so harshly when they barely know the survivors. We do not see the whole picture no matter how many times we watch the show (the power of editing), and being overly critical of people (esp evil players, and no I'm not trying to stand up for Russell, people criticise Sandra for winning too) do not make the haters any better. I actually agree with what Priscilla is trying to say. I am also guilty of this. However, I must also comment that the way Russell play is really too over the edge. I know he is playing to win, but he doesn't have to go burning bridges with everybody. It's quite obvious that after doing all those acts, he will definitely not gain the votes of the jury. Why go and threaten people out there? A good example is Danielle, there are much more ways to get her out. He can just blindside her silently. He can easily garner 4 votes (Rupert, Colby, Jerri, himself) and get her out. But he has to go to Danielle and Parvati and make things difficult for them. Seriously, that's one thing I really don't respect about him.
Another thing is how he cannot admit his loss. Both times in Survivor: Samoa & Survivor: Heroes vs Villains. After playing it twice, don't tell me he doesn't know that the jury's vote counts? Even, Jerri changed her gameplay. Cirie want to but didn't have a chance. Anyway, last time to Natalie, this time to Sandra. He insisted that he should be the winner and actually made quite a big fuss during the Survivor reunion show in front of national television. It's quite funny to see how he's reacting to it and I really think that his actions are quite immature.
Even though I have many negative comments about Russell, I must still applaud him for making Final 3 twice in a row. Like what they said, Russell knows how to get to the end of the game, he just doesn't know how to win it.
