Previously on The Amazing Race, 7 teams of 2 set out from Te Puke, New Zealand and raced 9000km to Siem Reap, Cambodia, home of the majestic Angkor Wat. Departing in last 2 places, dating couples, siaun and baowen & siying and zhiyan were unable to fly with the other teams, leaving them stranded in Auckland. (ticket agent: you just missed the 4.40am flight.) On the other hand, siblings, zhenyang and limin showed their prowess by overcoming all the challenges easily by working well together. (limin: my brother is really a good teammate.) Communication error caused buddies, yanzhi and hanwei to become seriously lost in the crowded streets of Siem Reap. (yanzhi: at this rate, we are going to be eliminated.) However, they manage to catch up to engaged couple, pohchoon and priscilla when bad luck plagued them, causing their boat to break down. but pohchoon's love for the team kept him persevering in the race (pohchoon: i think i will try to paddle ourselves to the restaurant.) jack and wahngee's relief was short-lived when they were smacked with a penalty for speeding. (yixuan: a 34 minute penalty has been incurred on your team.) Despite the setbacks, all the earlier teams checked in safely and it came down to a race to avoid elimination between the 2 couples at the roadblock. In the end, siaun and baowen edged out siying and zhiyan, making the lesbians the fifth team to be eliminated from the race. 6 teams remain, who will be eliminated next?

zhenyang: *rips open clue* Fly to Dehli, India. Once there, travel by taxi to Zamrud Pur and find Moonlight Motors. limin: let's go kor. zhenyang: we have to go to a travel agency.

jack: sir, do you know how to go to this place. taxi-driver: yes *head shake* jack: *turns to wahngee* i hope he really knows how and not just shake his head. wahngee: don't worry. i think we are in quite a good place now. jack: i just hate bad cab drivers.

A Roadblock is a task where only one member may perform. In this roadblock, one team member have to paint the black portion of a black and yellow auto rickshaw green, to signify that they now run on natural gas. However, before they can paint, they have to mask the yellow exterior with newpaper to prevent painting those sections green. When they finished masking and painting the rickshaw, teams will receive their next clue.
siaun: i think i should do it. baowen: ya. i would be too slow.
zhenyang: it's painting. limin: i think you can finish it faster than me. zhenyang: alright, i will do it.

A Detour is a choice within two tasks, each with its pros and cons. In this detour, teams have to choose between two common tasks in India. The choice, Launder Money or Launder Clothes.
In Launder Money, teams have to make their way to a banquet hall and create a wedding necklace made of Indian money known as rupees. The necklace need to have exactly 10 individual rupee notes that added up to a sum of 780. Teams will have to find ways to exchange money with their own stash of cash for the right combination of rupee notes. When the necklace is finished, they have to find a waiting groom and trade it for their next clue.
In Launder Clothes, teams will have to a laundry shop, choose an ironing station, and use a traditional charcoal heated iron to press twenty pieces of clothing. When the laundry women have confirmed that their clothes are properly pressed, she will hand them their next clue.
yanzhi: i'm good at ironing. i think we can breeze through the task. hanwei: and it beats wasting 780 rupees.
zhenyang: let's do the money one. limin: yes. i am good at handling money.
baowen: money! we have enough small change to make 780 rupees. siaun: alright baby.

hanwei: *rips open clue* Travel to the next pit stop, Ba'hai House. This national headquarters for the Ba'hai faith is the 6th Pit Stop in the race around the world. The last team to arrive, may be eliminated. yanzhi: YES! let's go!
jack: pa, they are done already! wahngee: quick, another team just arrived.
pohchoon: we are still in this. priscilla: OUCH! HOW TO IRON WITH THIS HOT THING! pohchoon: jack and wahngee are using gloves! let's copy them! priscilla: okay. we have to beat them.

*one taxi pulls in* jen: welcome to Delhi, India. wahngee: thank you. yixuan: jack and wahngee, i am sorry to tell you that... jack: crap. yixuan: you are the last team to arrive. wahngee: we knew it. we lost it thanks to that hopeless cab. yixuan: however, the good news is that this is the 1st of 2 pre-determined non-elimination legs. jack: what?!?! wahngee: this is too good to be true. yixuan: you are still in the race. but sometime during the next leg of the race, there will be a speed bump. it is an additional task whereby only you 2 have to do while the others continue racing. it might ultimately cost the game for you. wahngee: don't worry, we are optimistic and we will definitely overcome the speed bump. jack: yes. we will not get eliminated!
