Currently at bentay's place after 2 rounds of mahjong. And everyone else is asleep, with the exception of jr who is stoning. zy and ben were the biggest winners while jr and i lost quite badly. Haiz. But it's a rather nice get together, seeing that it's been a long time since i last saw them.

Well, sometimes, i really miss those times whereby we were in catholic high, being sec 3/4 students and having fun + embracing life together. I guess i have mentioned this before, but somehow, it's getting back to me. On the other hand, the 13/07 people are also being missed dearly, of course, with the exception of the few. Although we may meet up often for gatherings and outings, it will never be the same as when we were all in school, playing, studying, eating tom yum maggie mee. You know, it's very nostalgic to think about such stuff. After all, i'm a human being and humans have feelings.

On a random note, i think that corn is the best food on earth, especially cooked in steamboat. It tasted so sweet and not harmful to your body. Unlike those candies and ice cream, or those fattening chocolates.

On a lesser random note, i feel that to stay bonded as a class after graduation, every member should put in sufficent effort to at least take part in the various activities planned out by one or the other. By doing so, you can ensure that people can still interact with you and you will not slowly drift apart from those people who used to be your closest friends.

Oh and pohchoon is enlisting today, like in a few more hours. Hope he has fun in NDU.

I think i'm running out of things to write. To end this post, i shall confess that i'm secretly in love with rachel and baowen. Roflmao.

Chocolate indulgence rocks.

So does those who make my life so wonderful.

I'm sure my parents don't qualify for it.

Was forced to go malaysia for k AFTER i bought my 24hrs 2x.

Totally wasted $3.50 exclusive of 7% gst.

I dunno what's wrong with them.

Maybe they hate me.

Maybe I am not their realborn son.

My sis is getting much better treatment than me.

Don't say anything if you don't know anything.

So i think all of you won't be saying anything.

Probably except evil jiejie whom i was complaining to.

Starbucks was nice.

We also caught the band 'Big Mouth' in Bugis.

Getting C for GP isn't that bad what.

Can't they see the improvement from S/U to C?

Gosh.

Okay, should go to pray again to get into the course i want soon.

Previously on The Amazing Race, 7 teams of 2 set out from Te Puke, New Zealand and raced 9000km to Siem Reap, Cambodia, home of the majestic Angkor Wat. Departing in last 2 places, dating couples, siaun and baowen & siying and zhiyan were unable to fly with the other teams, leaving them stranded in Auckland. (ticket agent: you just missed the 4.40am flight.) On the other hand, siblings, zhenyang and limin showed their prowess by overcoming all the challenges easily by working well together. (limin: my brother is really a good teammate.) Communication error caused buddies, yanzhi and hanwei to become seriously lost in the crowded streets of Siem Reap. (yanzhi: at this rate, we are going to be eliminated.) However, they manage to catch up to engaged couple, pohchoon and priscilla when bad luck plagued them, causing their boat to break down. but pohchoon's love for the team kept him persevering in the race (pohchoon: i think i will try to paddle ourselves to the restaurant.) jack and wahngee's relief was short-lived when they were smacked with a penalty for speeding. (yixuan: a 34 minute penalty has been incurred on your team.) Despite the setbacks, all the earlier teams checked in safely and it came down to a race to avoid elimination between the 2 couples at the roadblock. In the end, siaun and baowen edged out siying and zhiyan, making the lesbians the fifth team to be eliminated from the race. 6 teams remain, who will be eliminated next?

zhenyang and limin, who were the first to arrive at 11.22am, will depart at 11.22pm.

zhenyang: *rips open clue* Fly to Dehli, India. Once there, travel by taxi to Zamrud Pur and find Moonlight Motors.
limin: let's go kor.
zhenyang: we have to go to a travel agency.

yanzhi: we stupidly took the wrong exit just now and went to the transfer waiting hall.
hanwei: this is going to cost us alot of time.

taxi-driver: yes *head shake*
jack: *turns to wahngee* i hope he really knows how and not just shake his head.
wahngee: don't worry. i think we are in quite a good place now.
jack: i just hate bad cab drivers.

siaun: *rips open clue* Roadblock.

A Roadblock is a task where only one member may perform. In this roadblock, one team member have to paint the black portion of a black and yellow auto rickshaw green, to signify that they now run on natural gas. However, before they can paint, they have to mask the yellow exterior with newpaper to prevent painting those sections green. When they finished masking and painting the rickshaw, teams will receive their next clue.

siaun: i think i should do it.
baowen: ya. i would be too slow.

zhenyang: it's painting.
limin: i think you can finish it faster than me.
zhenyang: alright, i will do it.

wahngee: before coming on this race, jack has a really bad temper. and i hope that by participating in this race, it can allow jack to realise that his bad temper will get him nowhere and get rid of it.

hanwei: *rips open clue* Detour. Launder Money or Launder Clothes.

A Detour is a choice within two tasks, each with its pros and cons. In this detour, teams have to choose between two common tasks in India. The choice, Launder Money or Launder Clothes.

In Launder Money, teams have to make their way to a banquet hall and create a wedding necklace made of Indian money known as rupees. The necklace need to have exactly 10 individual rupee notes that added up to a sum of 780. Teams will have to find ways to exchange money with their own stash of cash for the right combination of rupee notes. When the necklace is finished, they have to find a waiting groom and trade it for their next clue.

In Launder Clothes, teams will have to a laundry shop, choose an ironing station, and use a traditional charcoal heated iron to press twenty pieces of clothing. When the laundry women have confirmed that their clothes are properly pressed, she will hand them their next clue.

yanzhi: i'm good at ironing. i think we can breeze through the task.
hanwei: and it beats wasting 780 rupees.

zhenyang: let's do the money one.
limin: yes. i am good at handling money.

baowen: money! we have enough small change to make 780 rupees.

siaun: okay, so we have to fix the money together right?
baowen: yes. and i think we have just enough.

zhenyang: shit. we dont have sufficent change.
limin: let's try to ask around to change.

hanwei: *rips open clue* Travel to the next pit stop, Ba'hai House. This national headquarters for the Ba'hai faith is the 6th Pit Stop in the race around the world. The last team to arrive, may be eliminated.
yanzhi: YES! let's go!

jack: pa, they are done already!
wahngee: quick, another team just arrived.

pohchoon: we are still in this.
priscilla: OUCH! HOW TO IRON WITH THIS HOT THING!
pohchoon: jack and wahngee are using gloves! let's copy them!
priscilla: okay. we have to beat them.

siaun: are you the groom?
groom: yes, here is your next clue.

Back for nus open house today + abit of window shopping in bugis with _____ yuyan. [2]

Okay, i think i had alot of shou huo from nus. We had 2 full bags of goodies + a $10 starbucks voucher, compliments of Kent Ridge Hall & Starbucks Coffee. Not only that, i managed to clarify alot of doubts about admissions to medicine, dentistry, and faculty of science (FOS) (zhanwei, it's not full of shit okay..) also went for the faculty of science talk and medicine talk. so the situation's like this:

for dentistry, intake is approx. 44 per year. so no hope.

for medicine, intake is approx 260 per year. shortlist approx 800 applicants with superb straight As. therefore, i will need to enter via discretionary admission, which i will try for.

for faculty of science, intake is approx 1250 for 2009. so i guess this is my best bet. coursewise, my 1st choice would most likely be double major in chemistry and applied maths, with forensic science as my minor. i would really be happy if i get this because it has whatever i want to study + a super cool forensics! i might be asked to film in C.S.I. in future! *drools*
2nd choice would be just taking applied maths as a major with economics as a minor.

if everything above fails, i will be fighting for spots in FlirtyASS, economics most probably.

so anyway, after all that, yuyan and i went to bugis as i need to pray after getting back decent results (it was a promise made by me) while she wants to pray for her parents' safety in genting. after that, we had a late lunch at fisherios. the beer battered fish is nice! chicken super oily. fries are satisfying. tartar sauce rocks. lol. then we went for an 'almost-free' starbucks coffee! we ordered a java chip frappucino + a mocha, both grande, and paid $3.60. lol. jealous?

then, we had abit of window shopping in bugis junction. was super tempted to buy more newbie shirts (buy 2 get 1 free!) and havaianas from num (20% off storewide!) but decided not to since i alrd had my march shopping spree. on top of that, my hands were breaking from 3 HEAVY GOODIE BAGS (evil jiejie forced me to take hers. evil right?) so i decided to spare my poor hands by not buying. haha!

Okay, i shall update to respond to tzy's request for an update.

Today was a fun day. Yup, it was. Ask timo if you don't believe. But i know you can't ask timo because he is either busy flirting with other girls or busy meddling with his iphone. So you can just believe what i am going to say and just ignore timo.

Went to ntu open house with timo and mama neo yuyan today! Was interested in the biological science talk while yuyan is interested in the biomedical science + TCM double degree. timo was just tagging along. So anyway, we went for both talks and decided that biological sciences is more suitable for all 3 of us bcz TCM requires you take have 2 years studying in Beijing AND the exams are in CHINESE. like omfgwtfbbq! So timo and i (higher chinese C5 and C6 achievers) decided to stone and make fun of the prof while yuyan was listening intently. But after talking to wanjing, i think i am interested in chemistry and biological chemistry too! To sum it up, it was the most high open house i have been to. Totally high until my cheeks ache from laughing.

After the talk, timo and i went to meet up with some of the class to celebrate xinfang's birthday at chinatown! it was also very fun and high bcz you can imagine the drama btw pris and timo everytime they meet up. TOTALLY HILARIOUS! combo with waisin's ultimate cold joke of the day (today's was whispering eyes -.-) much more worth than ordering combo 1 in ljs can. had a scrumptous dinner which cost $96 in total. had veg, meat, seafood and tofu! jealous right? don't you wish you are in 13/07. then we went to eat dessert and some traditional dessert store. lastly, we went to central and sit by the river to talk. i thought everyone was okay with drinking but in the end, i was the only one drinking. zzz. baowen and xinfang had juice though.

That's the end of my super fun day! Have to go sleep alrd bcz i will be meeting yuyan for another high and exciting nus open house. mama neo LOL.

results are out! for me, it's another phase of my life i have completed.

results wise, everyone said i did well. with the exception of my family.

yilin: wa got so many As!
grandfather: (translated to english) so did you pass? (me: yes) can study medicine? (me: dunno) haiz...
father: (no comments)
grandmother: (translated to english) see la. if you never play computer, you will score better. play more computer and ruin your future la. play la!
mother: ask you to read more books and newspaper liao. you don't want. see your gp get C liao you happy la. why not A or B?

most likely going to apply for nus science courses. but haven really decided yet.

and yes, i cried. the first look at my results, the first thought which came into my mind is that i did not perform up to my parent's expectation. the 2 Cs just crushed whatever As which came along with it.

Previously on The Amazing Race, 8 teams of 2 set out from La Paz, Bolivia and raced 11100km to Te Puke, New Zealand. Along the way, felicia and seelek became clueless to what is known as a gordian knot, (seelek: maybe we are supposed to untie a knot to let the boat into the water.) allowing every other team to pass them. siying and zhiyan, tired of coming in 7th, attempted to go for the Fast Forward. However, the cousins edged them out by winning the Fast Forward, putting them squarely in last place. (siying: shit! this is very bad) pohchoon and priscilla managed to have a smooth leg, maintaining their lead over all the other teams, however, when they were not in first, priscilla erupted at the pit stop. (priscilla: i will ask my husband to sue your company.) In the end, it was a footrace to the pit stop to avoid elimination, resulting in siying barely edging out felicia, making felicia and seelek the 4th team eliminated from The Amazing Race. 7 teams remain, who will be eliminated next?

yuyan and lisa, who were the first to arrive at 6.03am, will depart 24 hours later at 6.03am.

yuyan: *rips open clue* Fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia, then make your way to a roadside gas station.
lisa: booboo, let's get the first flight out!

yuyan: after coming in second to last so many times, coming in first is a brand new experience.
lisa: yup, and it's what we booboos need to refuel our energy in the race.

A detour is a choice between two tasks, each with its own pros and cons. In this detour, teams will have to choose between two jobs commonly done by Cambodians living on the water. The choice, Village Life or Village Work.

In Village Life, teams have to use their boat and collect three items: a set of toy teeth from the dentist, a doll from the tailor, and a basketball from the floating basketball court where each team member have to make one basket. Then, they had to deliver the items to a man at the dock to receive their next clue.

In Village Work, teams have to take their boat to a fishing ground, wade into waist deep water, and search among numerous fishing traps for two filled with fish. Then, they have to deliver the fish back to the dock and transfer the fish into baskets to receive their clue.

A roadblock is a task where only one person may perform. And no person may perform more than 6 roadblocks in the race. In this roadblock, one team member will have to search the immense ground of Angkor Wat for a small elusive room named Prassat Kok Troung, also known as the Chamber of Echoes. Once there, they have to stand at a specific spot and thump their chest in such a way as to make the sound echo through the chamber, at which point teams could pick up their next clue.

I am back after i really busy weekend + start of weekdays.

our dearest siaun booked out, so we decided to celebrate baowen's belated birthday. but before that, i brought that old man timo to make army specs. and he was like 20min late (which is like the normal) and i had to brave the rain to wait for him at the squeezy bus stop. after that, we headed down to bugis to meet the rest and we were the first to reach! was totally laughing at the slimming programme because 50 over people are gathered together shouting "WO SHOU LE" (i have slimmed down) at some roadshow. too bad the rest didn't get to see it. we also caught a glimpse of campus superstar which was quite lame. then we went to buy baowen's present with xinfang and siaun. after that, dinner at MALA STEAMBOAT place. (i dunno the exact name.) siying, as usual, was late again. off topic: i think timo and siying are damn compatible. after eating, we went to have swensen's EARTHQUAKE! poor baowen, who shared with the 3 guys, was struggling to stop us from eating alot at once. in the end she didn't eat alot. but i am sure she enjoyed the activities we planned out for her.

went to malaysia the whole day to do grocery shopping with my family. and i got a haircut which is nice (to some people) and ugly (to others). i still think i look like an 'ah gong' with the new hair. after that, we went to have a 7-hour k marathon! with me and my sis singing the bulk of it again! the supper provided was damn good. porridge, toast, leftovers from dinner, etc. and their corn is like super sweet and delicious!

went to play mahjong with nicholas leong, juyong and gabriel. i think i am becoming a mahjong addict =/ but who cares! as long as i win money... after that, played pool with nicholas and juyong at amk. juyong is PRO! he can totally do long distance shots like nobody's business. then nic and i were just laughing at all the stupid mistakes we keep making. when they left, i met yingen for dinner at astons! (which was my umpteenth time eating there within the last 2 weeks) and had macs ice cream and had alot of heart to heart talk. played arcade afterwards and were amazed by this guy playing the jubeat. decided to have another outing with more people like jovan, ian, jac and more...

went to meet timo and rachel for lunch at HOUGANG MALL! HOUGANG MALL ROCKS! lol. as usual, our dear timo was LATE again! and late for 20 minutes! then we decided to pamper ourselves, so we ate at ajisen. rachel and i went for the volcano ramen and i nearly died. after that, we went to gelare and ate half priced waffles. we sat there and talked very long until rachel had to go for tuition. and rachel nearly *censored* (to not make her unglam) during tuition. omg la! super funny!

going to meet joel tmr for shopping at bugis and might go to the temple to pray. hope i can still be like this after friday.
