Previously on The Amazing Race, 10 teams of 2 set out from Salvador, Brazil and travelled 280km to Fortaleza, Brazil whereby they had to race across the beautiful beaches of Brazil on dune buggys. While some teams enjoyed the magnificent view, limin was screaming for her life (limin: i never want to ride another buggy with my brother driving anymore.) Tension arised between felicia and seelek and siying and zhiyan when zhiyan caused the girls' buggy to fall over. (seelek: i will get my revenge on them.) At the detour, teams who opted for the physically strenous detour surged ahead, while yuyan and lisa got stuck in the shipyard. (lisa: alot of numbers leh. how to find.) The language roadblock proved to be challenging for some teams. (siying: this is stupid.) However, it was rachel and wanjing, who got a lousy cab driver, whom reached the mat last, and became the 2nd team eliminated from The Amazing Race. 9 teams remain, who will be eliminated next?
siaun and baowen, who were the first to arrive at 12.51pm, will depart at 12.51am.
siaun: Fly to La Paz, Bolivia. Once you land, make your way to the statue of Simon Bolivar in time for the morning newspaper and scour the classified ads for your next clue.
baowen: bolivia? i heard you can get breathless easily up there.
siaun: don't worry baby, we will overcome it.

A detour is a choice between two tasks, each with its pro and cons. In this detour, teams have to choose between 2 ways to navigate the busy bolivian streets. The choice, Muscial March and Bumpy Ride.
In Musical March, teams have to make their way on foot to two plazas several blocks away to collect musicians and form a band. Then they have to make their way to Plaza Abaroa and exchange the band members for their next clue.
In Bumpy Ride, teams have to make their way on foot to Mercade de las Brujas where they have to ride a locally crafted bicycle in a harrowing bone-rattling trip down the cobblestone streets to Plaza Abaroa.
Caution: U-Turn ahead.

This is the first of 2 U-Turns in the entire race. At this specific spot, one team can u-turn, that is to force another team to go back and do the other side of the detour they had not done previously. However, teams can only exercise their U-Turn power once in the whole race, hence teams will have to decide when it's the most strategic to use it.

hanwei: Roadblock.
A roadblock is a task that only one member may perform. In this roadblock, that team member have to hand the hat the bought to a woman known as a fighting cholita and don a colourful fighting costume. In a private ring outside the arena, their cholita will teach them a wrestling routine made up of six moves. When they felt that they are ready to perform the routine, they would return to the main arena with their cholita for the performance. If they messed up, they will have to train again until they got it right.
hanwei: um i did that previous one.
yanzhi: ok my turn. i hope i dont mess this up.
