Leg 4 Recap

Previously on the Amazing Race, 8 teams of 2 set out from Bingo, Burkina Faso and travelled across the country back to the country's capital city. Along the way, teams battled for positions. At the detour, teams are penalized due to lack of creativity. It was another footrace to the pitstop with Celest and Felicia losing for the 3rd time. Back at the U-Turn, Timothy and Valerie bought insurance by U-Turning Jack and Ken, ultimately sealing their fate as they were the 4th team to be eliminated from the race. 7 teams remain, who will be eliminated next?

Leg 5

Departing the Pit Stop in first place at 6.45am, Si Aun and Xinfang opened their clue.

siaun: Fly over 4800km to Vilnius, Lithuania. Then, drive one of the marked cars to St. Ann's Church to find the next clue.
xinfang: Let's go to a ticketing agent.
siaun: Coming in first has a very good feeling.
xinfang: We are going to keep up this momentum and finish off this race first.

Departing 1 min later, Celest and Felicia also made their way to the ticket agent.

*at ticketing office*

siaun: Can i have 2 tickets to Vilnius?
xinfang: Lithuania.
ticketing-agent: You will fly to Paris at 10.45pm. From there, the best flight i can offer will arrive at 2.10pm.
siaun: We will take it.

*at another ticketing office*

celest: 2 tickets to Lithuania please.
ticketing-agent: 10.45pm to Paris. Then, fly to Vilnius. Arrive at 1.35pm.
felicia: Alright, take it.

*at yet another ticketing office*

priscilla: 2 tickets please.
ticketing-agent: Ouagadougou-Paris, Paris-Vilnius. Arrive at 1.35pm.
seelek: Ok.
ticketing-agent: Wait. I have a better one. Arrive at 1.25pm.
priscilla: We shall take it.

All 7 teams are on the same flight to Paris, France.

Priscilla and See Lek, Timothy and Valerie and Zhen Yang and Jezabel are on the 1.25pm flight to Vilnius.

Celest and Felicia, Han Wei and Kelvin and Poh Choon and Yan Zhi are on the 1.35 pm flight to Vilnius.

Si Aun and Xinfang are on the 2.10pm flight to Vilnius.

*at Vilnius*

priscilla: There are the cars!
seelek: Let's go.

timothy: You drive babe.
valerie: Are you sure you can read maps?
timothy: I will try.
valerie: I doubt crocodiles can drive well too.

*meanwhile*

zhenyang: Gosh, where are the cars?
jezabel: i dunno darling.
zhenyang: Let's try there.
*walks away from the airport carpark*

*10 min later*

pohchoon: The cars are just there!
yanzhi: Quick! I dont want to be in the bottom again.

celest: It's there.
felicia: Where are we going?
celest: Some church.

hanwei: Go left to find the cars.
kelvin: No right.
*starts fighting again*

*meanwhile*

zhenyang: OMG the cars are just there. I can't believe we missed it.
jezabel: We are going to a temple right?
zhenyang: No, it's a church dear.
jezabel: So how do we get to that mosque?
zhenyang: *shakes head* Her STM is acting up again.

hanwei: It's straight ahead la.
kelvin: FINE! We are both wrong. Now we are last.

*on the road 1 hour later*

zhenyang: Are we reaching soon?
jezabel: *turning map round and round* Don't think so. The temple is far far far away.
zhenyang: *snatches map* Let me take a look. *shocked* OMG! YOU LED US THE WRONG WAY FOR 1 HOUR!!

timothy: Overtake the girls!
valerie: I'm trying.

priscilla: I SEE THE CLUE!
seelek: THE COUPLES ARE BEHIND!

*at St. Ann Church*

timothy: ROADBLOCK!
In this Roadblock, one team member have to choose a local Lithuanian woman working outdoors, who will give them a package and tell them where to take it. Then, travelling on foot through the confusing streets of the Old Quarter, team members have to deliver the package to the correct person, who will then hand them their second package and one of four final destinations.

valerie: You do. My roadblock might max out too fast.
timothy: Ok.

priscilla: I think i will do it.
seelek: I am not good at directions anyway.

*at the airport*

siaun: WTH! Only 1 car left.
xinfang: I thought we had the best flight?
siaun: Let's catch up.

*at St. Ann Church*

celest: You do the Roadblock. Stop slacking so much.
felicia: Talk about yourself.
celest: I am so not going to argue.
felicia: Because you know you will lose me.
celest: GO DO YOUR DAMN ROADBLOCK!

pohchoon: Shall we try the Fast Forward?
yanzhi: Go! I dont want to check in at the last few.

hanwei: Roadblock. You do.
kelvin: Alright. Dont blame me if i got lost.

*on the road*

zhenyang: This place seems familiar.
jezabel: Yup, I am leading you to the mosque now. Ain't I clever or what?
zhenyang: Forget it. YOU DRIVE I NAVIGATE!

*at the Roadblock*

priscilla: Here's your package.
guy: Go to this place.

timothy: I am so lost.

felicia: *to some random guy* Can you bring me to this place?

kelvin: I think i am going around in circles.

*at the Fast Forward*

pohchoon: This is so easy!
yanzhi: Drive to the next Pit Stop, Aukstaitija Windmill. This majestic windmill situated in the heart of the Lithuania countryside is the 5th Pit Stop in the race around the world. The last team to check in may be eliminated.
pohchoon: YES! FIRST PLACE HERE WE COME!
yanzhi: Wait. Let me give them my autograph first!

*at St. Ann Church*

siaun: Roadblock.
xinfang: I will do it. I also wanted to explore such an ancient city.

priscilla: See Lek! I am done!
seelek: YAY!
priscilla: Drive to the town of Rumsiskes and find Lietuvos Liaudies Buities Muziejus, a Lithuanian outdoor ethnographic museum.

*at the Roadblock*

timothy: Here's your package. Where am i supposed to go next?

felicia: Ok. So where is this second destination?

kelvin: Omg I am so confused.

xinfang: I delivered your package. The next destination is?

*at the Aukstaitija Windmill*

Yi Xuan: Poh Choon and Yan Zhi, you are team number 1! As the winners of this leg of the race, you have won a 10-day trip for two from Travelocity to Japan, which you can enjoy after the race. Tell me, how do you feel after finally being liberated from the constant placing at the bottom.
pohchoon: This is indeed wonderful. I feel like i can accomplish anything!
yanzhi: I can sign autographs!

*at St. Ann Church*

felicia: Let's go!
celest: We are only slightly behind those girls. Let's overtake them and get 1st!

xinfang: Si Aun! Let's go!
siaun: Oh right.

*at the Roadblock*

kelvin: Here's the package.

timothy: Where is this idiot place?

*on the road*
seelek: I didn't see Poh Choon and Yan Zhi and Zhen Yang and Jezabel. You think they are way behind us?
priscilla: Anyone went for the Fast Forward? I want to get 1st again!

zhenyang: Alright we are finally here.
jezabel: You did great darling! *kisses*

*at St Ann church*

hanwei: Kelvin! You got the clue?
kelvin: Yes! Let's go!

valerie: Omg where is Timothy? We came first and now we are what? Last?

*a while later*

zhenyang: Omg Valerie still there! I will speed through the Roadblock.

*at Rumsiskes*

priscilla: Scour the village for a vacationing Travelocity Roaming Gnome hidden among 100 of his closest Lithuanian gnome friends. Then, walk along the marked path to the next clue.
seelek: I found 1! Oh wait, it's different.
priscilla: How about this? Oh it's wrong again.
seelek: GRRR!! This is sickening

celest: Let's find that side since the girls are over here.
felicia: Omg! It's on the tree! AND WE CAN'T REACH!
celest: Let me step on you to reach it.
felicia: Why not I stand on you?
celest: Because I am lighter.
felicia: NO WAY!
celest: SHIT PRISCILLA AND SEE LEK ARE COMING! JUST STEP ON ME LA!
felicia: *stands on celest's shoulders and grabs gnome* Ok let's go!

*at the Roadblock*

zhenyang: Here is the package. Now where am i supposed to go?

timothy: Is this the building? *squints eyes until they become slits*

*on the road*

siaun: Oh crap. I think i turned off at the wrong exit. How to get back to the highway?
xinfang: We are in big trouble here.

hanwei: Just drive straight up and we will reach the village.
kelvin: If you say so.

*at St. Ann Church*

valerie: Omg Timothy you are finally done. I thought you were captured by some terrorists.
timothy: Excuse me I am not that retarded.

*at Rumsiskes*

hanwei: Let's hunt down that gnome.
kelvin: Go right.

priscilla: FOUND IT! *squeals loudly*
seelek: Good job. Now overtake them.

celest: Detour. Count Down or Step Up
In Count Down, teams have to make their way through the traditional Mid-Summer's Festival to a marked section of picket fence. Once there, they have to count every picket that makes up the fence and then reveal their calculation to a villager. If they are correct, they would receive their next clue. In Step Up, teams have to stilt-walk along a marked course to the finish line. If a person fell off before reaching the end, that person have to go back to the beginning and start again. When they reach the end, they will receive their next clue.

felicia: Let's try stilts.
celest: I can't do it. Confirm.

*at St. Ann Church*

zhenyang: COMING THROUGH!
jezabel: OMG YOU DID SO WELL! WE CAN CATCH UP! *kisses*

*on the road*

xinfang: Ok we got back to the highway. Now drive straight.

timothy: Drive straight?

*at Rumsiskes*

hanwei: Ok found it. Now to catch up with the girls.

priscilla: We do stilts!

felicia: *falls down hard* OW!!!
celest: This is way too hard. Let's switch detours.

*at Rumsiskes*

timothy: Ok. Let's find the gnome.
valerie: Found it already.
timothy: Great job baby!
valerie: Thanks hubby. *kisses*

siaun: We are finally here.
xinfang: Don't give up! We wont get eliminated.

zhenyang: Yes! We still have chance!
jezabel: Find the gnome!

hanwei: Let's just count.
kelvin: Ok.

priscilla: I can't do this.
seelek: Wanna switch?
priscilla: Ok.

*at Count Down detour*

felicia: I counted 718.
celest. Let's average and try.
felicia: Is it 717?
person: That is correct.
felicia: OMG! AHH!!!

jezabel: Sure! I played it before when i was young.

*at the Count Down detour*

priscilla: Is it 717?
person: Yes. Here is your clue.
seelek: OMG. PITSTOP!!

kelvin: Is it 723?
person: That is incorrect.
hanwei: What?? We have to restart.

siaun: *counting aloud* 307, 308, 309...
xinfang: Quiet la! Count in you heart.
siaun: I LIKE LEH! 30.. Shit I lost count!
xinfang: Me too. Thanks to you.

*at the Step Up detour*

jezabel: This is so easy. *crosses finish line*
zhenyang: What?! I can't stay on it.

timothy: *falls off umpteenth time* This is impossible.
valerie: *at mid point* Let's beat them!

*at Aukstaitija Windmill*

Yi Xuan: Priscilla and See Lek, you are team number 3!
priscilla: YAY! Stay at the top the whole way!
seelek: We are going to prove that we are very strong by outlasting the other teams.

*at Count Down detour*

hanwei: 717.
person: That is correct.
kelvin: Let's run!

siaun: 715?
person: That is incorrect.
xinfang: This is frustrating. We are dead.

*at Step Up detour*

zhenyang: I can't do it.
jezabel: You can do it darling! Believe in youself! *kisses*

valerie: *crosses finish line* Yes! Go hubby!
timothy: I am trying!

Yi Xuan: Han Wei and Kelvin, you are team number 4!
hanwei: Decent, but I want first.
kelvin: We will do better eventually.

*at the detour*

Yi Xuan: Zhen Yang and Jezabel, Timothy and Valerie, you are teams number 5 & 6!
zhenyang: Huh? I thought we were the last 2 teams?!?!
jezabel: That's what i thought too.
timothy: OMG! THANK GOODNESS WE ARE STILL IN!
valerie: So who is behind?

*minutes later*

Yi Xuan: Si Aun and Xinfang, you are the last team to arrive, I am sorry to tell you that you have been eliminated from the race.
siaun: I thought we were doing good but i guess this race is unpredictable.
xinfang: I am sure this race has strengthened our friendship and it certainly has broadened my perspective of the world.
siaun: There are many people in this world who needs our help. I learnt that in Africa, and I am going to help them in whatever ways I can.
xinfang: The race has been enjoyable and everything. It's a waste that our journey ends here.
